POMEROY–The Garfield County Public Health District announced they will place personal hygiene kits in the county, and passed a resolution at their meeting on March 20.
Personal hygiene kits, containing items such as shampoo, toothbrushes, and soap, will be made available at locations in Garfield County, particularly focused on emergency situations such as the Food Bank and the Garfield County Memorial Hospital. The kits are funded by the South East Washington Alliance for Health, and 250 kits will be provided to Garfield County.
Resolution 2023-05 to amend the Washington State Department of Health Consolidated Contract changed a statement of work in regard to dates and requirements, in preparation for the May 11 ending of the federal Covid-19 public health emergency.
