POMEROY––Hitch up the buggy and head out to the Garfield County Fairgrounds for the 2023 Spring Farming Days this Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2.
Being demonstrated will be plowing through seeding, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days, including operations powered by horses or mules, just like in the olden days.
There are a few new exhibits to see in the Ag Museum, in addition to the extensive collection of antique tractors, engines, tools and equipment, some of them more than a static display. Also being displayed will be antique vehicles.
The Blue Mountain Artisan Guild will have an exhibition on the grounds.
When your stomach starts growlin', just follow your nose to lunch, available for purchase both days.
The EWAM invites people to bring old or antique agricultural items to the "Treasure Trailer," to sell. Anything there is available to buy and all proceeds go to the museum.
