Mask requirement lifted at hospital

POMEROY-The Garfield County Hospital District board of commissioners announced the end of the masking requirement, announced a financial transition for the HUGS program, and discussed project dates for their electrical project at their meeting on April 3.

Mask requirements for employees have ended at the Garfield County Memorial Hospital. Infection levels will be monitored for respiratory illnesses, and masks may be required again if infection parameters are reached in the future.

HUGS financials have been transitioned to the Blue Mountain Community Foundation. All financial actions will be run through BMCF.

Materials for the electrical project at the Memorial Hospital have begun to arrive. Bidding for the construction is anticipated to be conducted by June.
