Lady Pirates come up short

GENESEE–The Lady Pirates were dogpiled by a 12-run first inning on their way to a 15-0, three-inning non-conference loss here April 13, and Colton waltzed away with 28-10 and 20-4 wins April 10.

"The girls worked hard this game," commented Coach Lexi Beale, "and had a great attitude the whole game. Hannah Bagby and Molly Warren had doubles."

The Pirates had 13 hits in the first game but only four in the second.

Genessee held the Lady Bucs hitless. "There were "not a lot of stats but there was clean fielding plays resulting to an out at first by Grace Hart, KayLee Schmidt, and Izzy Field," said Beale.

The Lady Pirates are 0-14, 0-6 in league, and meet DeSales Friday at Shepherd Fields then travel to Gar-Pal April 25 and wrap the season April 29 with a home double header against Tekoa-Rosalia.
