POMEROY–Naslund Disposal is hosting a Spring Clean-up Day at the old rock pit off Gould City-Mayview Road for household waste on Saturday, May 13 at 8 a.m.–2 p.m. On the same day and time, Garfield County will hold a combined appliance and tire amnesty, and free chipper day.
Household waste will be accepted at the old rock pit off Gould City-Mayview Road. All waste needs to be in garbage bags. Contact Naslund Disposal at 1-800-958-5755 with questions regarding acceptable materials. (Please note they will NOT collect the following items: hazardous waste, construction debris, or white goods such as appliances.)
In addition, on the same day and time, Garfield County will hold an appliance and tire amnesty, and yard waste will be accepted for county residents at the old rock pit off Gould City-Mayview Rd.
Disposed items must fall within the following guidelines:
Tires should have rims removed and be free of dirt and water.
Appliance items such as dishwashers, hot water heaters, stoves, air conditioners, refrigerators, washer/dryers, and freezers will be accepted.
Clean yard and garden debris will be accepted, including pine needles, limbs, and small logs (up to 15 inches). Loads that contain a lot of dirt, root balls or anything over 15 inches in diameter will not be accepted. Leaves and pine needles in garbage bags are fine, but you will need to empty the bags and take them home. Questions? Call 843-3710.
