POMEROY–Kendall Dixon placed Grand Champion in the Jr/Sr division of FFA Beef fitting and showing at the Spokane Junior Livestock Show, held May 2-7, according to information received from the Pomeroy FFA and the Junior Livestock Show of Spokane press release. Tyler Dixon's steers placed both Grand and Reserve Champion in the 4-H market class, and Kendyl Tetrick won Reserve Champion in 4-H market hogs.
Pomeroy FFA market steers results were Kendall Dixon, whose steers placed third and fourth, Colby Ledgerwood placed fifth, Grayson Slaybaugh placed seventh and tenth, and Trevin Kimble placed ninth. In fitting and showing, Kendall Dixon won Grand Champion and Jillian Herres placed fifth in the Jr/Sr division. Colby Ledgerwood placed fourth and Grayson Slaybaugh placed seventh in the Freshman/Sophomore division. The Pomeroy FFA livestock judging team placed fourth at the state judging competition held at Spokane. Tyler Dixon placed first in Intermediate 4-H livestock judging and Kendyl Tetrick placed second in the Junior division. Jack Baser won the Intermediate 4-H meat judging contest, and Tyler Dixon placed third.
In the beef breeders pen of three contest Dixon Land & Livestock won Grand Champion and Gary Bye won Reserve Champion.
The Pomeroy FFA Beef group was also awarded the Black and White Ribbon for the best display by the State Fair Commissioner.
