Ledgerwood takes home the silver

POMEROY–Local gun club had five members participate in the 2023 Colton Silver Shoot over the weekend of June 3-4, where Holly Ledgerwood takes the Lady Singles silver home.

Five members of Pomeroy Gun Club participated in all or part of the Colton Silver Shoot this past weekend at Colton Gun Club. The shoot features 1 oz. silver coins displayed in nice cases as a Trophy. Holly Ledgerwood managed to take the Lady singles Silver home in Saturday's singles event.

Saturday's Singles, Holly had the top score for Pomeroy shooters with a 98 and was crowned the Lady Champion. Larry Bunch broke a score of 96 in the 100-target event and Lee Blachly had an 88. Bunch had the top Handicap score for locals with a 90 and Blachly posted an 89. Bunch was Senior Vet runner up in the Doubles event for Saturday with a 93.

Sunday, Jim Adams led the local contingent from Pomeroy Gun Club with a 96 in Singles, Bunch had a 95, Blachly put up a 93 and Holly Ledgerwood had a 91. Bunch had an 88 in the Doubles on Sunday.

The next shoot in the region, Nez Perce Idaho will host a two-day shoot over the Father's Day weekend, that is always well attended.
