DAYTON–The Columbia County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) received $29,635.82 through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation recently.
The CCSO is now equipped to handle emergencies and keep the local community of Columbia County safer through a grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of $29,635.82 which was used to purchase a Polaris Ranger 1000, complete with law enforcement graphics and lights.
"We are extremely grateful to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and our local Firehouse Subs in Pasco, Wash., for providing us with this grant and positively impacting our community," said Sheriff Joe Helm. "We are so grateful to be given the tools needed to continue to keep the citizens of Columbia County safe and protected."
The Polaris Ranger will be used in a dual-purpose capacity for the Sheriff's Office during community events, as well as our local Search and Rescue.
