POMEROY-The Garfield County Hospital District Board of Commissioners approved the reappointment of Inland Imaging, announced the breaking of ground on the electrical project, and discussed a bake sale that will be held at the Garfield County Memorial Hospital, at their meeting on October 2.
Ground was broken on Phase One of the electrical project. Work will continue in earnest after a construction boundary has been agreed upon with Washington State officials. It will likely be a roofed fence.
The commissioners approved reappointment of Inland Imaging for credentialing and radiology services. Inland Imaging has been providing these services and will continue to do so.
The commissioners also heard a presentation by Matt Ellsworth of the Association of Washington Public Hospital Districts about governance and the roles of a high-functioning board.
In other business, heard about the need of consistent pastoral care for the residents of the Memorial Hospital, and the annual bake sale fundraiser for the resident council will be held in the Memorial Hospital foyer on October 17, from 8:30–11:30 a.m.
