The Lone Ranger and Tonto ride again!
Katie and Evelyn Burnstad won best team costume for their Lone Ranger and Tonto pairing at the Pomeroy Pony Punchers fall Play Day recently.
Blake Lindgren won best overall costume for being a zookeeper riding his giraffe.
A new rodeo event, barrel bustin', was invented by Brayden McKeirnan, Karl Burnstad, Brantley McKeirnan, and Kaleb Miller.
POMEROY–The Pomeroy Pony Punchers held its season finale play day at the Garfield County Fairgrounds rodeo arena on October 8.
The day started with a costume contest that featured the return of the Lone Ranger and Tonto, Batman, Dolly Parton, Ken and Barbie, a pirate, and Cruella de Vil, among others. The winning costume was a zookeeper riding his giraffe.
The play day also featured horseback arena games and a barbecue, during which the new sport of barrel bustin' was invented.
