POMEROY–The School District will hold their Annual Veteran’s Day program, open to the public, in the High School gymnasium on November 8, at 9 a.m.
Elementary students will sing patriotic songs, a slide presentation of local military honorees will be made and at least four local veterans will receive Quilts of Valor as part of the Veteran’s Day tradition.
This program gives students, staff, the community, and area residents a time to honor local veterans and pay tribute to those who gave their lives for protecting our country, liberty, and freedoms.
If you are a veteran, or know of a veteran whose picture may not be in the slide presentation, please drop off a picture at the Pomeroy High School by November 1 so it may be included in the presentation.
