POMEROY–The Garfield County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) opened applications for roadwork engineering consultant, approved an inter fund transfer and a letter to the City of Pomeroy at their meeting on November 20.
The BOCC opened statements of qualifications for the position of roadwork engineering consultant on the Casey Creek project on the Kirby-Mayview road. The position includes design and construction consulting for the project. Selected firms will interview, and then one firm will enter negotiations with the county for the position. Should the negotiations end unsatisfactorily, another firm will be contacted for negotiations. The process will be repeated for the two other roadwork projects currently planned, the Deadman Safety project and the Kirby-Mayview Safety project.
The commissioners approved a transfer of $20,000 from the current expense fund to the solid waste management fund. This transfer has occurred yearly and is already part of the 2023 budget.
The commissioners also approved a letter to the City of Pomeroy, advising them of a 3.7% increase to the law enforcement and court services contract between the two entities.
