Lady Bucs finish fourth in league

POMEROY–A fourth-place finish for the Lady Pirates steered them to a Wednesday, February 7 rematch with an opponent they had played five days earlier-and lost to 57-26. Pomeroy played Grape Division No. 1 Sunnyside Christian in the first round of District (results next week).

The Lady Buccaneers were fourth with a 4-6 league, 5-11 season record after Feb. 2 loss to Sunnyside Christian.

The Lady Knights hammered the team 20-2 in the first quarter and flew to a 32-7 half time lead.

The Lady Pirates rallied in the third quarter with 14 points but SSC cruised through the half for the win.

Potential opponents for Pomeroy on Friday, February 9 will be either Liberty Christian or Garfield-Palouse.
