POMEROY–Wendy Snyder has been selected for the 2024 Community Leadership Award and will attend the awards banquet next week in the Tri-Cities.
Snyder is a high school para-pro, a Pomeroy Pirate Partner leader, and the co-advisor Family, Consumer and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) program. She was selected to receive the 2024 Community Leadership Award through the Southeast Washington Association of School Administrators.
"We all know that Wendy is a true representative of community leadership," said Pomeroy School District Superintendent Rachel Gwinn. "Her unwavering dedication and passion as a leader for the Pomeroy Pirate Partners has made a difference not only in our school, but our community. Her commitment to the well-being and empowerment of high school students has not gone unnoticed. She consistently goes above and beyond to create a supportive and nurturing environment for everyone involved. Wendy's tireless advocacy efforts have not only fostered a culture of prevention but have also inspired positive change within the community. She has remarkable ability to connect with youth and helps give them a sense of belonging. Wendy is truly deserving of recognition for her outstanding leadership and invaluable contributions to the Pomeroy community."
Snyder will attend an awards banquet next week in the Tri-Cities where other recipients throughout our region will be recognized.
