DAYTON–The Dayton Adventist Church will host “Kid Survival Camp” each Wednesday at the Columbia County Fairgrounds beginning July 17 through August 7 at 9 a.m., and at the Adventist Church at 1525 S. 4th. St, on August 14 at 9 a.m.
This unique Vacation Bible School study of the biblical character Daniel, the great survivor will provide attendees an opportunity to hear from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office talking about personal and water safety along with a free lifevest; the Columbi County Fire District No. 3 will share information about fire safety and first aid; Columbia County Dispatch will present circumstances that are appropriate to call for emergency services; Tim Quade will talk and demonstrate horsemanship; Paul Lammasson will instruct how to use a compass followed by a treasure hunt utilizing the use of a compass; Cecelie Ames will teach how to tie different knots; and the last day there will be a visit from some ponies.
Lunch will be served at the end of each survival session.
