Area authors visited with the BMAG "Once Upon a Time" reception attendees, answering questions about their book as well as sharing their vision and inspiration given through their writings and illustrations. Authors attending the show were Thann Shira, Gary Bye, Naomi Scoggin, Dawn Desjardin, Audrey Renaud, Cosette Moore, and Bruce Crossfield. Featured authors not pictured are Sanford Bates, Elton Buller, Diana Schmidt, Fred Mensik, and Gretchen Heytvelt.
POMEROY–The Blue Mountain Artisan Guild held the opening of their 'Once Upon a Time' show on July 11. The show features 12 local authors from Pomeroy and surrounding areas: Gretchen Heytvelt; Diana Schmidt; Cosette Moore, Bruce Crossfield; Dawn Desjardin; Naomi Scoggin; Gary Bye; Sanford Bates; Fred Mensik; Elton Buller; Thann Shira; and Audrey Renaud. Their work includes novels, non-fiction, short stories, children's books, and poetry, with many styles and genres. "The show for authors will run two months, so anyone can still make it in to buy a book," Linda McKeirnan of BMAG stated. "There's a wide range of topics for all to enjoy. I was pleased with our turnout with so much other stuff going on," McKeirnan stated.
