Last Sunday the occupant of the upstairs rooms of the large residence in the suburbs of the southern part of town, for which S.A. Esry has been acting as agent, discovered that the house was haunted, not with the time honored ghost of another sphere, but by a reptile of the spotted viper variety. The snake was killed and nothing more was thought of it until Monday, when Mrs. Esry visited the cellar to get some fruit stored there. She encountered another snake of the same variety, but did not stop to question its right of eminent domain. She preferred to settle those matters by an embassy.
