POMEROY–Brooks Smith, an eight-year-old entering third grader, is an enterprising young man. He sets goals and then goes to work achieving them through entrepreneurship and other innovative ideas.
On this Saturday, July 27, Smith set up the sno-cone table again on Main St. near the Veteran's Plaza next to the East Washingtonian office to offer cool refreshments to shoppers, travelers, kids going to or coming from swimming, and repeat customers. He plans to save funds for a trip to Scheels and Top Golf near Boise, and other long-term goals.
"He was originally saving money for a trip to check out Scheels and Top Golf near Boise, but his long-term goals and money earned is being saved for taxidermy school or another trade school after high school," said Nikki Smith, Brooks mother.
Smith loves to swim, golf, fish and catch crawdads in the creek with his friends. He also loves to search for out of bound golf balls and sells those, too. He has many repeat customers.
