POMEROY–The Garfield County Fair and Market Sale is less than a month away on September 13-15.
This year's market sale is the largest with 103 animals and will take place in the hog barn arena on September 14 at 4 p.m.
The best way to support 4-H and FFA projects is to purchase the quality meat these kids have raised. If you don't need meat, there are options that can support these kids, too. You can sponsor kids individually or support with a donation to the Market Sale General Support Fund.
If you are ready to fill your freezer there is beef, pork, lamb, and goat available. Beef can be purchased by the quarter, half, or whole. Lambs, goats, and hogs can be purchased by half or whole.
Steven Cannon is taking the lead on coordinating buyers and support, but any of the market sale members listed below can also assist you. Give Steven a call or text him at 360-624-1048, email him at [email protected], or you can send him a Facebook message to place your order.
If you are looking to sponsor a specific exhibitor or donate to the general support fund, Larry Legerwood can help you. Call or text him at 509-780-7231 or email [email protected]. You can also mail a check to the Garfield County Market Sale Association, PO Box 552, Pomeroy, WA 99347.
The best way to really show these kids support is to come to the sale and buy the animal of your liking on Saturday, September 14 at 4 p.m. Purchasing animals at our sale is the absolute best way possible to support our 4-H and FFA exhibitors and guarantee that you get the animal you want to fill your freezer.
