Pirate Fall athletics underway

POMEROY––The Pirate Fall Sports campaigns will be getting underway with Pirate Football hosting a nine-team jamboree here on Friday, August 30, with kickoffs at 5 p.m., and Pirate Volleyball begins its fall season against DeSales with a home match on September 6, first play getting underway at 5:30 p.m.

Volleyball slides right into its busy season with another home match on Tuesday, Sept. 10, against Tekoa-Rosalia, first play at 4 p.m. The following day, September 11, the Lady Pirates travel to Waitsburg for a 10 a.m. match.

After the Pomeroy Jamboree, the Pirates take to the gridiron next in Sunnyside against LaConner, with a 3 p.m. kickoff. The following Friday, September 13, Mabton comes to town for a 7 p.m. contest.
