Alsup and Van Vogt Students of the Month`

POMEROY–The Chamber of Commerce recognizes 7th graders Lilly Ann Alsup and Allie Van Vogt as the September and October Students of the Month. They were then asked to choose a youth-serving organization to receive $50 from the Chamber in honor of the Student of the Month recognition program. Both girls selected the new band/music program at school.

LillyAnn Alsup, is nominated September Student of the Month by Nettie Severs. "She is always on task and doing what she is supposed to be doing in class," said Severs. "She turns in work on time, shows all her work and thinking processes, and comes I for extra help when needed. I appreciate her hard work."

Allie VanVogt, is nominated October Student of the Month by Gio Italia. "In the short amount of time we have been back in school, Ali has shown numerous times that she is a friend to all," said Italia. "Ali invites people to sit with her when they are alone, encourages her fellow classmates, and is one of the first people to offer to help when someone needs it. She has a positive attitude and truly models kindness in and out of school," Italia continues.

The Chamber appreciates Lilly Ann and Allie for being positive role models, and representing their school with grace, kindness, and dedication.
