CLARKSTON–A “Last Chance” Pesticide Recertification Credit Program hosted by WSU, UI and Oregon State University extension will be offered Friday, December 6 from 8:30 a.m. to Noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Asotin County Fire Station, located at 2377 Appleside Boulevard in Clarkston, or by Zoom.
Five Idaho, Washington and Oregon pesticide recertification credits have been applied for this program; along with Certified Crop Advisor Credits. The cost of participating in the seminar is free.
Topics may include:
-Palmer amaranth survey and herbicide resistance screening update”, presented by UI Weed Scientist Albert Adjesiwor.
-Regulatory and Compliance Updates” with representatives from the Washington, Idaho, and Oregon Departments of Agriculture.
-Invasive Pests & Strategies of Regulatory Management”, by Michael Bush of the WSDA Pest Management Program.
-Pesticide Toxicity and How it Impacts Personal Protective Equipment Requirements”, by Wendy Sue Wheeler, WSU Department of Entomology.
-Diagnosing Pest Problems in Alfalfa”, Steve Norbert, WSU Extension Forage Specialist.
