Wayne Mitchell missing in the mountains since last Friday. Rescue teams and tracking animals have searched areas into Walla Walla County.
DAYTON–Local man, Henry (Wayne) D. Mitchell, 67, has gone missing around the Patrick Grade/ Tucannon area.
Mitchell went into the mountains on Friday, Nov 22, 2024 around 12 p.m. His vehicle was found near Patrick's Grade on the Tucannon campground. Coordinated efforts with Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office, College Place, Washington State Fish & Wildlife, Search and Rescue teams, and other state agencies and tracking animals have been on the ground since Saturday.
