Core Grants are open

WALLA WALLA–Core grants are now open for consideration. The deadline for Letters of Interest is February 5, 2025.

Sherwood Trust competitive grants are made to qualified nonprofit and governmental agencies operating in Walla Walla and Columbia counties in Washington and Milton-Freewater, Ore. Sherwood Trust seeks to make grants to qualified nonprofit and community initiatives that support our vision and values and are an organization’s most pressing priority.

Sherwood Trust’s competitive Core grants include three steps: a Letter of Interest, Application and Site Visit. Trustees determine which Letters of Interest move forward to the Application phase. Application evaluation includes a site visit to the applying organization. Funding is awarded in June, pending signed grant agreements.

Guidelines for 2025 grant include important information about eligibility, Sherwood Trust giving principles and values. Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their proposal before submitting.
